Tip of the monthThis month, I've been focussing a lot on pronunciation with many clients, particularly the vowel sounds which are not always said as they are written. Notice the difference between the short /i/, and the long /i:/ sound in many English words. Practice the difference by saying the following pairs out loud, and see how your mouth shape changes:
