Hi Reader Summer may be fading away and lots of us think about returning to offices, routines and predictability. However, I want to keep some of the magic of summer and take some spontaneous sunshine into September with me! I think there are always ways to find bubbles of joy and ways to make the mundane a little bit more magical ✨ In language learning it may involve finding a new podcast for your commute, or using some bright coloured highlighters to add interest to those endless grammar notes. The more you enjoy learning, the easier it will be to create new habits that you look forward to instead of dread each day! Tip of the monthReady for some magical idioms, Reader? Sprinkle these into your next English conversation: Magic bullet : A simple solution to a complex problem. Examples: "There is no magic bullet for losing weight." and "The new policy is not a magic bullet for the economy." Smoke and mirrors: Something that is intended to confuse or deceive. Examples: "The company's promises were all smoke and mirrors." and "Politicians often use smoke and mirrors to distract from real issues." Crystal ball: A way of predicting the future. Examples: "I don't have a crystal ball, so I can't tell you what will happen." and "You'd need a crystal ball to know how the market will look next year."
